2002 was year of firsts as we took our Duett to many events for the first time. These included the Carlson Volvo meet and Toys for Tots event at Christmas, where Gretta was lucky to be the "photo car" as she carried all the toys that the club members had donated to the Marine Corps depot. We also took our 242TI to Thunderhill where my son (in his ’95 85GLT) and I both circled the road course for the first time. It is easy to catch the bug for that kind of fun.
The 2002 show season was capped off with the VCOA/VSA National Meet in Solvang, Ca. Here we were surprised by receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award on top of awards for both our 1800ES and our P210. What a thrill to be honored by our peers. It moved me to write this letter.
